Who says bright makeup is only for spring/summer? Certainly not a vast amount of designers showing at Paris Couture Week. From shimmery green eyeshadow at Versace to a punchy neon pink lip look that debuted at Armani Privé that will make you feel all sorts of things, the concept of sticking to earth tones or deep, muted hues come the cooler months couldn’t be more outdated. If anything, these presentations are inspiring us to ditch any preconceived beauty rules we were following before. Chanel’s high-impact blush and red lips can even speak to that.

Tiptoeing into bold color for fall couldn’t be easier than copying the beauty look at Armani Privé either. Models at the show paired their uniformed, piece-y wigs with pale pink cheeks, full brows, and shiny hot pink lipstick that really claimed the focal point.

“Shocking. Break the rules by daring to be shocking. Why not wear fuchsia in the fall? Pink is the new red,” voiced makeup artist Linda Cantello when explaining what the Giorgio Armani Privé Fall/Winter 2015 collection meant for makeup.

Releasing this September, Ecstasy Lacquer in Maharajah is the pink hue that stole red lipstick’s spotlight at Armani. It’s a product that’s said to have long-lasting color benefits, as well as moisturizing qualities. We’ve yet to get our hands on the new tube, but the intense pigment and slightly glossy finish is enough to get us thinking about making space for more neons this fall.

To pull together the bold statement, models’ skin was prepped with a combination of Armani Beauty’s Crema Nuda foundation based on their skin tone and then a touch of blush. Eyes were defined with a grey Smooth Silk Eye Pencil along the upper lash line and the brand’s famous eye tint in two different colors, while brows were groomed and filled with a combination of products.
